Members compete in Narrogin

4/09/2008 4:50:00 PM
ON Sunday, August 31 two Wagin Pony Club members travelled to Narrogin to compete in a showjumping day run by the Narrogin Pony Club.

Morgan Blake took part on her new thoroughbred Radar and Jessica Morgan rode her quarter horse, Raz’r Blaze.

As this was Morgan’s first time out on Radar, there was a bit of uncertainty on how the day was to turn out.

However with Morgan’s calm attitude and gentle persuasion Radar behaved himself beautifully.

For a young horse fresh off the race track, both rider and mount handled the excitement of the showjumping arena well.

Jessica Morgan has attended a few outings on Blaze at Narrogin this year. With both rider and horse being so young, every outing is turned into a schooling exercise.

However, they are beginning to offer some tough competition for the Narrogin riders in the jumping arena.

After having such a successful and enjoyable day the girls are now looking to their next event. Well done Jessica and Morgan, it is great to see such young talent coming out of the Wagin Pony Club.
